As a kind of thermosetting resin,epoxy resin displays the well-defined preparation process,strong mechanical strength,viscosity,and electrical insulation etc.However,it also shows brittle properties and resistance to collision,etc.,which limits its practical applications.Present studies are mainly focused on the addition of rigid particles,liquid crystal polymer,core-shell polymer,rubber elastomer,thermoplastic resin and hyper-branched polymer,etc.,which could improve the toughness of epoxy resin with the help of polyurethane.Because the polyester PU includes a polar carbamate group and some soft polyether segments in the molecular structure,it can promote mutual solubility.Based on the further improvement of mutual solubility between epoxy resin and polyurethane,this thesis studies the chemical reactions occurred with NCO and a OH groups to synthesize the modified epoxy resin and other related polymer polyurethanes through in situ reaction process.This thesis firstly systematically surveys the theory of polyurethane modified epoxy resin adhesive agents and toughening mechanism,solid particles toughening mechanism of fracture toughness,the dispersed phase toughening mechanism,rubber particles toughening mechanism,synergistic effect,mandatory inclusiveness brittle ductile change theory and other related theoretical content,such as toughened epoxy resin modified theory,etc.Then,it reviews the preparation and characterization of polyurethane modified epoxy resin materials including raw materials,reaction process and conditions,analysis instruments,structural properties.According to the detailed characterizations including mechanical properties,scanning electron microscopy,thermo-gravimetric analysis,etc.,the performances of polyurethane modified epoxy resin has been investigated and their correspondence to the structure has been explored.Finally,the potential application of polyurethane modified epoxy resin adhesive agent has been investigated,focusing on the practical application in water-controlling area.For example,the use of infiltration and underground experimental simulation applications including multi formula water control material,followed by simulation experiment through the six tube to explore the feasibility for underwater operation.Finally,the application of the building structure adhesive agent and the high temperature resistant adhesive agent has been briefly overviewed.
