New injection molding technologies including precision injection molding technology are developing with the requirements of high quality of injection molding parts. There is major gap between China and developed countries in precision injection molding. This project aims to improve precision of injection molding machines at low cost, to develop a new online non-damage monitoring system of products' quality, and to make a general injection molding machine with high precision. Non-damage means it won't damage the products, the mould and the injection molding machine when we pursue the precision in injection molding processing.Contrast experiments with different injection molding machines, moulds and materials were made. It was to research the connection between Mold Separation(MS) and products, and the factors which influence the MS. It is useful to empolder latter production by studying MS. The main conclusions are as follows:1. There is a high relationship between MS and products weight. The more MS, the more weight, and they take a linear relationship. Base on this theory, an online non-damage judging system of products' quality was developed. It can online control products' precision by using the MS to be switchover point. And it can determine whether the products is eligible or not before the injection molding cycle.2. It can highly improve products' precision from 7%o to 4%o ,when use the MS to be switchover point.3. Process parameters have notable influence on MS, the main parameters are clamping force, holding pressure and switchover point, etc. Clamping force is the basic of applying the system. When the clamping unit of the machine has a high precision, the higher clamping force, the less MS, and they take a linear relationship; the higher holding pressure, the more MS, and they take a linear relationship too; the later switchover point, the more MS.
