As the development of plastic industry,plastic product has been widely used in many fields such as automotive sector, home appliances, logistics, medical equipment, aviation because of its fine processing behavior and operational performance. Meanwhile, the tendency that plastic will replace steel and wood is gradually shown. It’s a complex process from product design,die design and manufacture to process debugging. Every step will produce great influence on the quality of the product. The constant development of CAD/CAE technology subverts the phenomenon that design and manufacture are depending on experience. By applying CAD/CAE technology, It can find out and solve problems as soon as possible during the mold design stage, shorten the design period in order to reduce the cost of enterprise.Taking the framework lid as an example,the purpose of thesis is to establish the connection between product design,mold structure design,and process debugging by considering the application of CAD/CAE technology into product design, mold structure design, the injection molding process optimization. And we can improve the efficiency of product development and shorten the manufacture period. The main content is as follow:(1)Taking UG8.0 as a plate form for the design and Workbench14.5 for analysis tools, combining with the design principle of plastic products, to complete structure design of a series of framework, and to complete the 3D model. Finally, the filling quality assessment was completed by using Moldflow.(2)At first, to analyze and optimize the best gate location and cooling loop layout by using Moldflow, and then using UG8.0/Mold Wizard module and HB Mould mould design of framework series products, including mould frame system, mold position design, runner system, cooling system, exhaust system, ejection system and its auxiliary parts design. Finally, general assembly drawings of framework mould was got in UG8.0.(3)Simulating the process of injection molding based on moldflow, including filling, cooling, pressure holding and warping. Optimizing the injection processing to obtain the best injection processing parameters, and to transform the injection processing parameters to useful injection processing conditions, which provides scientific evidence for trial run engineeringThe research of this topic shows that the mould CAD/CAE technology can improve the efficiency of the collaborative work between the three departments of product structure, mould design, injection molding process debugging. The project provides an efficient method for the mold enterprise and improves the development of the CAD/CAE technology.
