At present, the development direction of equipment of multi-layer co-extruded cast film is multi-layered, large-scale, precision-oriented. And the extrusion die is the core of those components. In our country, however, the processing of die manufacture is almost based on manual operation. It can not meet the extrusion die's requires of straightness. So the technology of automation grinding extrusion die is proposed in this paper. It's of great significances on promotion of the technological level of extrusion die for manufacturing enterprises.According to characteristics of automation grinding technology, each factor of this technology,which includes straightness measurement programs, grinding processing strategy, grinding head speed control, hardware design and software design of the processing system is studied in the paper. The main work and achievements are as follows:1. Proposes the method of straightness detection by mathematical modeling, error analysis and formula deriving and presents the whole process of measurement. We simulate the whole process of measurement by a hypothetical sinusoid, and through error analysis prove that this method is verified.2. Assists to mechanism analysis of the loose abrasive grinding,the various material removal rates of steel under different speeds of the grinding head are obtained by experiments.3. Based on the research of characteristics of ultra-precision machining, a single parameter control program is put forward. Put forward requires for the operating speed mode of the grinding head, and some key indicators of institutional operation is set up. Based on the requires and indicators above, the efficiency and the quality in accordance with the principle of priority. Processing strategy is determined initially. A fuzzy PID control method of the grinding head speed is put up with. 4. The control system of hardware and software is designed based on requirements of processing and the grinding head speed .Overall performance of the control systems is verified by experiment.5. The automatic grinding of the workpiece of original flat extrusion die is carried out by experiment and the workpiece straightness is improved obviously after processing.In this paper, automation grinding system of the grinding process extrusion die level is set up initially, which improves the workpiece straightness after processing. The focus of future research is as follows: processing strategies is further optimized; In order to improve the workpiece straightness,multi-parameter control must be adopted.
