Study On The Yellow River Wetland Resources And Protection Utilization In Lanzhou

Wetland is one of global biggest ecosystems together with forest and sea ecosystems with its special function. The wetland plays a sustainable role in terms of social harmonic development with nature, sustainable social and economic development. In recent years, along with the economic development and society progress, more and more attentions have been paid to wetland and its protection. Because of the artificial and natural influence, the area of wetland in Lanzhou has rapidly reduced. Therefore, enhancing the protection of wetland is urgent.Based on the investigation of wetland resources in Lanzhou urban area along the Yellow River, the types and distribution of wetland were identified and the problems existing in the protection of wetland were analyzed as follows: the accelerative land development and irrational utilization, the changes of wetland ecosystem by pollution, the descent of biodiversity index, the management organization and system on wetland are not sanity, the funds of protection and joining together with the development foreground of ecosystem construction of Lanzhou city. This thesis puts forward the strategy that the protection and reasonable exploitation of wetland in Lanzhou urban area along the Yellow River should be divided into three stages. In the first stage, the focal includes three aspects: the descended trend of wetland area, which is caused by people, is basically suppressed. The building of wetland resources sanctuary is accelerated. The demonstration districts of instauration and the reasonable exploitation of degenerate wetland are established. In the second stage, more proper, scientific and normal system of wetland protection and management is established. The wetland and its biodiversity get basically effective protection. At the same time, because of making deteriorated wetlands get instauration in different degrees, wetland can obviously play the role of its ecologic, economic and social benefit. The following three ways are the key points to protect wetland resources, including the establishment of local law for wetland protection, effective wetland management mechanism and formulating homologous policy on wetland instauration and protection. It is an important path that can resume the function of wetland ecosystem to extend wetland research and to apply monitoring technology. In the third stage, the key points are to take wetland resources protection and reasonable utilization into a virtuous circle, maintain the ecological characteristics and function of wetland ecosystem and keep the furthest various function of the wetland. Finally, the sustainable development of Lanzhou urban area Yellow River wetland could be widely realized. In the last, in terms of the strategy and development paths, this thesis some suggestions are provided in this thesis.
