The short routine of preparation on cotton fabrics with plasma technology has been studied in this paper. The applications of the short routine preparation on cotton poplin fabric and cotton blended fabric with the low-pressure plasma technology were studied firstly. The experiment results show that after the low-pressure plasm(a50w,3min,30Pa) pretreatment on cotton poplin fabric,the best steam conditions, which are NaOH 10g·L-1,H2O2 20g·L-1 and steamed for 10 min, realized the 50% dosage reduction of NaOH, 30% dosage reduction of H2O2, and 50% decrease of steam time , while the whiteness was nearly closed to the conventional techniques, the capillary and the breaking strength had been improved, compared with the optimal conventional preparation. After the low-pressure plasma(100w,5min,30Pa) pretreatment on ramie cotton blended fabric, the best steam conditions,which are firstly NaOH 10g·L-1 steamed for 15 min and secondly H2O2 25g·L-1 steamed for 20 min, realized the 50% dosage reduction of NaOH, 16% dosage reduction of H2O2, and 40% decrease of the total steam time,while the whiteness and the capillary were nearly closed to the conventional techniques, and the breaking strength had been improved, compared with the optimal conventional preparation.Based on the low-pressure plasma experiments, the short routine of preparation without alkali on the ramie cotton blended fabric and the combed cotton fabric by the atmospheric plasma technology has been studied in the second part. The results show that after the atmospheric plasma (5kW, 10m·min-1) pretreatment on the ramie cotton blended fabric, the best steam conditions, which are H2O2 20g·L-1 steamed for 40 min, realized non NaOH , 30% dosage reduction of H2O2, and 30% decrease of steam time, while the whiteness and the capillary were nearly closed to the conventional techniques, and the breaking strength had been improved, compared with the optimal conventional preparation. After the atmospheric plasma(5kW, 5m·min-1) pretreatment on the combed cotton fabric, the best steam conditions, which are H2O2 20g·L-1 steamed for 40 min, realized 20% dosage reduction of H2O2, and 30% decrease of steam time, while the capillary effect were nearly closed to the conventional techniques, and the whiteness and the breaking strength had been improved, compared with the optimal conventional preparation.With atmospheric plasma technology using in conventional preparation, the technique not only improves the treatment efficiency and the production efficiency, but also reduces the consumption of chemical reagent and the costs. At last, the purposes of both energy conservation and emission reduction are realized.
