With the rapid development of the industrial technology, the rolling mill equipment continues melting towards maximization, high speed, automation and high-accuracy directions. Meanwhile, with the increse of rolling part's weight and rolling speed, the improvement of production quality, the slipping of the main drive-system took place very often. The vibration problem caused by slipping of the rolling has brought many serious dangers to the production and the facilities, such as vibration lines on the rolers and the plates. Avoidding the phenomenon of slipping is a prerequisite to prevent such vibrations in rolling. But the reasons that cause the slipping in many fields, such as the structure of the equipment,the parameters of the technics and soon.In this paper, a research is carried out into the phenomenon of slipping on the second housing of Bao-steel 1880PC hot rolling mill group. First of all, from the mechanical system dynamics, the paper made a theoretical analysis of the torsional vibration caused by slipping. The main drive-system's mechanics model about the second housing is established on the certain simplifying basis. And calculate the system's inherent frequency and vibration mode.Second, established the mathematical model of the main drive-system's torsional vibration. Using successive asymptotic method to solve nonlinear equations and get that the self-excited vibration of rolling mill is not established.Then, to analyze the slipping mechanism and slipping factor in hot rolling process and establish a model of judgmenting slipping in hot rolling; through the F2-site process parameters can be get the variation of slipping factor value with the changes of the various factors.Finally, simulate the PC mill rolling process by FEM, analyse the impact of the friction coefficient, PC cross angle, the amount of depressed and rolling speed on slipping, and give out its control measures.
