Polyetherether ketone (PEEK), Polyethersulfone (PES), Polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) are three high performance and high-temperature thermoplastic specialty polymers. This paper systematic studies of the PEEK/PES, PEEK/PPS and PPS/PES blends on compatibility, thermal performance, fiber spinning and their mechanical properties.Compared PEEK/PES blends of different components compatibility, heat resistance and mechanical properties of fiber blends, found that blends are partially compatible system, PES improve the PEEK melt fluidity, the suitable for processing temperatures down to 365~385℃; the thermal stability of blends become better as the PEEK content increase; PEEK/PES fiber analysis showed that the blends have better drawing ability and mechanical properties when PEEK/PES has a ratio at 30/70. At this ratio, the blends have better drawing ratio, higher breaking strength and elongation at break. PEEK/PPS blends, when temperature below 350℃, the melt extruded difficulty, when the temperature is higher than 350℃, PPS appeared degradation phenomenon, so the PEEK/PPS blends are not suitable for extrusion processing. Compared the PPS/PES blends of different components of the rheology, compatibility, heat resistance and mechanical properties of fiber blends, found that blends was pseudoplastic fluid, PPS decreases the PES melt viscosity, suitable for processing temperature is 345℃; PPS/PES blends have two glass transition temperature, two glass transition peaks have a trend of closing to each other, indicating that PPS/PES blends is partially compatible system, during PPS content in 20%-30% range, the compatibility is best. When PPS content in 30%, heat-resistant is best, can reach 513℃. Mechanical performance analysis show that the blends have better multiples of drawing, have largest intensity and smaller elongation.
