Lattice has been used in modern fashion design for a long time, including all of the elements of the set which possess the lattice characteristic, whose special culture connotation is highly accepted by the world, and provides the fashion styles in different ages. As the form of lattice application being more and more richer, it displays many kinds of style costume, such as casual style, college style and punk style, etc. which shows the flexibility and adaptability of lattice.In one hand, the article is based on the application of lattice in modern fashion design, probes the origin, category and color in classic fabric. In the other hand, through summing up and explain the esthetic features, this article discusses the effection on developing and application of lattice, and analyzes emphatically the style of fashion with lattice, the application form and method of lattice in modern fashion design; including the difficulty of making clothes with lattice fabric—checking lattice. At last, it probes and discusses the method of recreation application of lattice. Hopefully this article can provide some theory and practical significance to fashion designers, and give new idea to the development and application of lattice, which stretches our minds.
