Using a reflux condensation method and a low-temperature solid phase method, eight kinds of new ternary complexes were synthesized with rare earth chloride(RE = La3+, Ce3+, Pr3+, Nd3+, Eu3+, Y3+, Er3+, Gd3+), molybdenum acid and fural salicylhydrazone, ten kinds of ternary complexes were also synthesized with rare earth chloride(RE = La3+, Sm3+, Eu3+, Er3+, Gd3+), tungstic acid or molybdenum acid and 1,3-diphenyl-4-pyrazole-formyl isoniazidylhydrazone. Their compositions were characterized by elemental analysis, molar conductance, FT-IR, UV-vis, TG-DTA, TC-ICP, XRD, XPS and so on, and confirmed to be: RE(HL) MoO4Cl?6H2O (RE = La3+, Ce3+, Pr3+, Nd3+, Eu3+, Y3+, Er3+, Gd3+; HL: fural salicylhydrazone) and Na[RE(HL)(MO4)2]?nH2O (RE = La3+, Sm3+, Eu3+, Er3+, Gd3+;HL: 1,3-diphenyl-4- pyrazole-formyl isoniazidylhydrazone, M: Mo or W). The antibacterial activity testing shows that RE(HL) MoO4Cl?6H2O (RE = La3+, Ce3+, Pr3+, Nd3+, Eu3+, Y3+, Er3+, Gd3+; HL: fural salicylhydrazone) exhibit antibacterial ability against Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus. The antimicrobial spectrum of the complexes were broad. MTT was used to study the anticancer ability of the complexes, which indicates the ternary complexes'IC50between 10 and 100ng/ml; Na[RE(HL)(MO4)2]?nH2O (RE = La3+, Sm3+, Eu3+, Er3+, Gd3+ ; HL: 1,3-diphenyl-4- pyrazole-formyl isoniazidylhydrazone, M: Mo or W) were also used MTT method to study the complexes'cytotoxicity and morphological observation. The results show that the complexes'IC50 were 25μg/mL, flow cytometry results showed that the best concentration apoptosising on cancer cells was 12.5μg/mL. Cancer cells were arrested in S phase, inhibitting cells'mitosis process. Molybdenum complexes. The effect of induced cancer cells to apoptosis, molybdenum complexes better than tungsten complexes.
