Research On Sustainable Development Model Of The Rocky Desertification Areas Of Nanchuan In Chongqing

Chongqing is one of the most widely distributed of carbonate rocks and karst strongest development provinces of China. As the special environment of karst and the effects of the irrational activities, soil erosion in karst region growing, many steep sections of the surface soil have been depleted, and there's nudity contiguous Rock Hill and semi-bare landscape,which have been directly threaten the living environment of residents of rocky habitats. With the development of Chongqing Urban-rural coordination and implementation of Western Development, how to protect the fragile ecosystem and realize the development of local economy, to achieve ecological,economic and social unity, is a very tight problem of local facing.This study chooses rocky desertification areas in Nanchuan as the research object. Using field survey,combining with a variety of data, the paper analyzed the characteristics and causes of rocky desertification in Nanchuan, challenges facing in the desertification region, and expectations of farmers about desertification development model.On the base of analysis,the paper establish objectives and principles of the sustainable development model in desertification areas Nanchuan, finally put forward sustainable development model for local.The main conclusions of this paper are:1)The natural factors are the basis for the formation of rocky desertification of Nanchuan in Chongqing, but the irrational human activity is the main reason for the expansion of local rocky desertification.2)The rocky desertification areas are facing many challenges,such as the deterioration of rocky desertification,desen population,frequent disasters, a single model of rural development.3)Rocky desertification is a major obstacle to local development, but farmers in the rocky desertification areas have a strong desire on sustainable development of natural, economic and social development.4)The sustainable development model of Nanchuan desertification area includes three areas: ecosystem restoration; construction of rural livelihood projects of rock desertification; take full advantage of policy, capital,market during Chongqing Development of Urban-rural coordination.
