Rocky desertification is a serious ecological and geological disaster.Rocky desertification is the basis of land information management departments to keep abreast of rocky desertification and to develop effective prevention and control measures.Rocky desertification of China's southwest region is the district with the largest,together with the economic development of the region is relatively backward,weaker degree of information technology,and rocky desertification of China's information technology is the focus and the difficult part.The Rocky desertification information management method in Nanchuan is rather out-of-date,which can not meet the new management need in nowadays while a large number of original Rocky desertification data have been accurnulated.In order to better use of modern information technology to solve information management problems of rocky desertification,improve the efficiency of rocky desertification prevention and control,the establishment of rocky desertification management information systems are extremely necessary.ComGIS opens a new stage of GIS technical development,and it represents a trend of current GIS.On the basis of the standard component platform,GIS function modules are divided into several controls,each control finishes different function.Each between GIS controls,non-GIS controls,basic components and professional components cannot only be recombined freely and flexibly,but also has visual interface Object-Oriented and standard interface easy to use,which makes the systematic development and software integration easy,really realizing "code reusing" and "component".MapObjects of ESRI developed by the United States,is a group of suppliers with the development of the use of mapping and GIS functional components,MapObjects includes an OLE control,as well as a set of OLE objects.One OLE Control is a reusable software components,it can be a number of other OLE objects packed in a package.Its advantages can be embedded into other software,using it in ordinary programming languages to achieve the main functions of geographic information systems,saving manpower and time.In this study,in accordance with the current rocky desertification causes Nanchuan district characteristics and needs as the starting point,design and development Nanchuan rocky desertification management information systems.According to the thinking of software engineering and requirement analysis,the study is including overall design,database design,function design, interface design.Adopting C/S(Client/Server) structure and Visual Basic 6.0 language,applying MapObjects2.0 component,ADO control and Access2003.In this paper,such as follows were discussed,the construction of the system background,objectives,basic theory,principles of system design and operation of the environment,the framework of the structure and key technologies,system functions,system implementation.Because of the database in a management information system plays an very important position, the quality of the structural design of the database will report directly to the efficiency of application systems,as well as have an impact on the effectiveness of implementation.Rational structural design of the database can improve the efficiency of data storage to ensure data integrity and consistency.There is conducive to the implementation process.Therefore the database design is discussed as a focus in this thesis.It include conceptual design and logical database design.Stored data of GIS database include spatial data and attribute data,and they have close contact.It is a important question that the GIS database management system must address.Thesis also discussed how to achieve property data and spatial data connection,query and managementSystem is mainly to achieve the functions of systematic management,data management,map basic management,information management,rocky desertification trend analysis and prevention and control of rocky desertification project progress management.The system has friendly interfaces,strong practicability,simple operation,convenience,ect.Easy to learn and use for the grass-roots level.System provide graphics and multimedia document management platform for rocky desertification prevention and control at the county level management at different levels,as well as project planning,feasibility studies,organization and implementation,project progress,acceptance,etc.And it also improve the scientific management means of data.At the same time,system development is very purposeful.Nanehuan rocky desertification management information achieved spatial data and attribute data integrated management basically.Application into production,it will improve the efficiency of land,forestry,agriculture,water security to prevention and control rocky desertification.Finally,the study sums up the main work,points out the accomplishment the article achieved,shortcommings needed to be better and the research trend in the future,such as spatial analysis,remote sensing image processing and web applications.
