Capparis spinosa L. was investigated in this thesis. The content, extraction and antioxidant activity of total flavonoids in Capparis spinosa L. buds were studied. At the same time, isolation and purification of total flavonoids in Capparis spinosa L. buds were also studied and a flavonoid compound was identified. The results were described as follows:1. Plant chemical composition system preliminary experiment method was used to identify the flavones of Capparis spinosa L. buds.2. Extracting technology of total flavonoids in Capparis spinosa L. buds was optimized by Uniform Design. The results showed that the soaking extraction of total flavonoids in Capparis spinosa L. buds was the best compared with ultrasonic-assisted extraction, ultrasonic-microwave assisted extraction and microwave-assisted extraction, its best extraction condition was as follows: extraction time was 44 min; the ratio of material to liquor was 30:1, the concentration of methanol was 45%.3. Extracting and purifying total flavonoids in Capparis spinosa L. buds were studied by using TLC and column chromatography and a flavonoid compound was gained. The structure of the flavonoid compound was identified by such means as UV,IR,MS,1HNMR and 13CNMR. It was kaempferol-3-rutinoside.4. The antioxidant results of the Capparis spinosa L. buds were showed that the flower buds had a stronger reducing power, strong scavenging abilities against DPPH·, ABTS·+ and Fe2+ chelating capacities. kaempferol-3-rutinoside had bad scavenging abilities against DPPH·.
