With implement of sustainable development strategy,resourcess. energy and environmental problems become the main factor to restraint the cement industry. Minimal amount of grinding aids can play a significant role in improving the particle size distribution,increasing the grinding efficiency and cement performance. so,the grinding aids will play a significant role in sustainable development of the cement industry. Contrary to many problems existed in the field of grinding aids in China, the technology,properties of using esterificated triethanolamine as grinding aids is systemically studied in this article.The research is performed in order to develop esterificated triethanolamine as a new grinding aids and achieve industrialization finally.The main research contents and achievements are listed as follows.1,Triethanolamine esters were synthesized by the reaction of caprylic acid or lauric acid with triethanolamine and were analyzed by FT-IR Spectra;Furthermore,the grinding effect of Triethanolamine esters was studied,results indicate that Triethanolamine esters can play a role in improving the cement fineness and increasing the grinding efficiency.2,Grinding effect on the triethanolamine ester of caprylic acid(ZK),triethanolamine ester of dilaurate(ZG) and 7 ordinary monomer grinding aids were comparatively studied;results indicate that ZK has outstanding grinding effect,ZG can improve the compression strength of cement.3,Based on the studying of nine kinds of monomer grinding aids,the optimal formula M-1 which using triethanolamine esters of caprylic acid and triethanolamine esters of dilaurate as main constituent has been selected by investigating the fineness of cement.The grinding effect and the influence of cement property of formula M-1 were studied.4,A kind of composite grinding aids was developed of expanded perlite and grinding aids M-1,the effect of grinding on it was analyzed by SEM and Image analysis,results show that it can shield surplus electric charge,prevent the agglutination between particles.Furthermore,the influence of cement propertise were tested,results indicate that the total testing standards meet JC/T667-2004 of grinding aids.5,The compatibility of high slag content of composite Portland cement and grinding aids was studied.The grinding effect and the influence of composite Portland cement property was analyzed.Results show that the total testing standards meet JC/T667-2004 of grinding aids.Furthermore,the grinding mechanism of esterificated triethanolamine was studied.The hydration of composite Portland cement was analyzed by SEM.The testing results of SEM show that esterificated triethanolamine improve the particle size distribution of composite Portland cement and stimulate the activity of slag,which makes the cement paste hydrate fully,and the structure of hardened cement paste become more uniform and compact than that of the control sample,and the compression strength also be much higher than the control ones.There are 29 figures,29 tables and 51 references in this thesis.
