To construct municipal wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) is the most significant way to controll the water pollution. Due to high costs of construction and operation, the process of wastewater treatment was restricted heavily. This article mainly focuses on the energy consumption problems, which exist in the municipal wastewater treatment plants. Using Analytical hierarchy process (AHP) to analysis energy consumption in different wasterwater treatment plants in city of xi'an. In view of existing situation in WWTP, try to found the solution of energy conservation. Major conclusion is as follows:The energy consumption of pre-treatment part may occupied 28% of total energy consumption, biological-treatment part account for 60%, and in sludge treatment part is 12%. The aeration system occupies 50% power energy consumption in wastewater treatment plant.The formula of energy consumption in evaluation system based on analysis and calculates as below:T= 0.0784*C1+0.0280*C2+0.1708*C3+0.0256*C4+0.3008*C5+0.1600*C6+ 0.0576*C7+0.0896*C8+0.0504*C9+0.0208*C10+0.0088*C11There are 11 factors to influence the total energy consumption of WWTP in this evaluation system, the determining of the weighs plays an important part in evaluation system. C1 is the real amount of wastewater treatment,C2 is the real amount of sludge treatment,C3 is the using percentage of real treatment abilities,C4 is the total area of WWTP units,C5 is the running stability of technology,C6 is the total altitude of WWTP,C7 is the real using percentage of equipment,C8 is the convert efficiency of equipment,C9 is the percent of mainly pollution cutting,C10 is the percent of secondary pollution cutting,C11 is the regular efficiency of wastewater treatment.The conclusion of energy consumption shows:DE oxidation ditch process is better than Middle-load process and A2/O process, which we have investigated. The evaluation system of wastewater treatment can estimate the tone of energy consumption accurately, so it is valuable for design and management in wastewater treatment.Based on investigation and evaluation:the using percentage of real treatment abilities(C3), the running stability of technology(C5),the total altitude of WWTP(C6) were the most important factors to influence the energy consumption of WWTP in this evaluation system.In WWTP's design and management,we should pay much attention in these parts.
