In recent years,it is a hotspot research for developing numerical control system based on Windows, connected with the open capability of computer, complete usage of software and hardware of computer, realizing open,modularization and flexibility of CNC.In the issue, for the purpose of solving the problem of practical manufacture, a CNC system aim at special-section core-mold was developed, the general structure including hardware platform establishing and software platform designing. During the design for software, modularization design was adopted to realize the open of CNC.According to the outline curve characteristic of special-section core-mold, a new Interpolation algorithm was adopted, which could unity the interpolation of straight lines and quadratic curves, reducing interpolation errors, and realizing routinization of interpolation function by the usage of C++Builder6.0. According to the Interpolation algorithm adopted in the paper, the principle of tool compensation was further researched based on interpolation principle to realize tool compensation; the through connection conditions appeared in curves connections was classified to realize the routinization of tool interpolation.Because Windows operating system is not a real-time operating system, we need to extend its real-time control when we developing complete software CNC based on Windows. Based on the environment of VC++6.0, by the usage of DrvierStudio3.2, virtual device drivers program of the interface card of CNC was developed to solve the problem of visit for hardware and instantaneous control under Windows.During the developing of CNC system, manufacture tests were carried out for the purpose of proving feasibility and stability of system and finally putting it into practical production, which advanced the productivity, improved the competition of company.
