NC machines play an important role in modern manufacturing industry,an open architecture CNC system based on PC is the developmental direction of numerical control system of machine tool.According to the idea of an open architecture CNC system,the two coordinates CNC system is made in VC++6.0 and VtoolsD on Windows98 operating system on traditional planner,and many functions are implemented,such as document operations, graphics simulation, graphics processing,machine tool adjustment, operation introduction.The feed structure of planer head is changed to use open loop servo system, and the interface of CNC is also designed to undertake interactive tasks of planer CNC system and open loop servo system.CNC system software is a high real-time software, but Windows98 is not the real-time operating system and shields operating basic equipment directly,so how to complete real-time task of planer CNC system becomes technical problems.By writing virtual device driver of the interface card of CNC to response to interrupt of sensor signal judging worktable position, real-time control problems are solved.Interpolation is the core of CNC system,its algorithm decides directly to CNC system performance quality. Differential interpolation is used in this paper,and this algorithm unifies linear interpolation and quadratic curve interpolation,avoids approximating complex curve by using many linear and circular segments,reduces computational complexity, improves processing precision.Finally, major achievable outcomes by researching are summarized, and a few solved problems are advanced in further researching.
