In recent years, the research on coordination structure and properties has become a hotspot in structural chemistry and materials chemistry. It is not only for its diverse topology, but also for its unusual nature which is possible in the material field of application. It has a good prospect in many aspects and field, such as in heterogeneous catalysis, gas adsorption, storage and separation, molecular recognition, nonlinear optical materials, porous materials, magnetic materials, superconducting materials, fluorescent materials, and biological activity. Aromatic carboxylic acid compounds with coordination geometries monodentate, chelating bidentate ligand, chelating bridging polydentate coordination is more favored by many supramolecular coordination polymer researchers.In this paper, a coordination polymer crystal was synthesized by selecting organic ligands phenanthroline and trimesic acid as organic ligands and selecting transition metal nickel as central metal ion. Its formula is [Ni(phen)3(H3BTC)3(H2BTC)(NO3)(H2O)3]n (Phen= phenanthroline, H3BTC= trimesic acid).Besides, we have an investigation and optimization in effect factor for the synthesis of the complex such as reactant ratio, reaction temperature, pH value and the solvent.It was characterized by means of IR, EDS,the result reavals that the two ligands and central metal ions into the target compounds, and the crystal is tentatively identified as a new coordination polymer crystal.By the X-ray diffraction structural analysis it reavals that the crystal sturcture was monoclinic and belonged to C2/C space group, cell parameters a= 29.510(6) A, b= 14.110(3) A, c= 33.999(7) A, a=90°,β=110.94(3)°,γ=90°, V=13222(5)A^3, Z=8, F(000)=6416, Mr= 1554.92, Dc= 1.562 Mg/m^3,μ=0.396mm^-1, R1=0.0773, wR2 = 0.2120。In the crystal structure of coordination polymer, the center atom NiⅡadopted the six-coordinated, coordinated with six N atoms from three Phen molecules, forming twisty octahedral geometry. Independent structural units which connected by hydrogen bonding interactions formed one-dimensional extended infinite repeated H3BTC molecule long-chains, these long-chain molecules formed the grid structure in the plane, the layered structure in a multi-dimensional space with the other H3BTC. The obvious repetitive holes can be seen by the stacked structure along the a axis。The thermal stability, fluorescence properties and fluorescence properties of the coordination polymer were tested respectively, the result reavals that framework of the coordination polymer with weak fluorescence properties can exist stably under 370℃, its optical energy gap is 0.895ev, thus the coordination polymer have semiconductor properties。...
