The ultrasonic vibration drilling technology is a machining technology, which is combined rotary drilling of traditional rotary drilling process with axial ultrasonic vibration. It essentially changes the drilling process mechanism, the conventional continuous drilling process is transformed into a pulsed periodic drilling process by using vibration drilling. It is more excellent effect than conventional continuous drilling process. A reasonable choice of machining parameters of the system can significantly improve the processing of device stability and hole machining quality. In this paper, based with the basic principle and the basic mechanism of ultrasonic vibration drilling to design and develop a set of ultrasonic vibration drilling system. The main research contents are as follows:1) Do analysis and comparison of processing characteristics of various vibration drilling system, choosing the high-frequency vibration drilling as the study targets. And the kinematical characteristics and the effects of machine process of high-frequency vibration drilling have been analyzed.2) Based on the high-frequency vibration drilling mechanism, a set of ultrasonic vibration drilling unit has been developed. Take the torque as the study targets, to establish ultrasonic vibration drilling experimental system. The experimental system mainly consists of ultrasonic vibration drilling module (consist of the generator, sound system and tool systems), torque measurement modules. After the development of the system, debugging the system. It contains the debugging of various components and composite system.3) Based on ultrasonic vibration drilling experimental system, comparative experiments between common drilling and ultrasonic vibration drilling are carried out. Do analysis and comparison of the collected torque value and the hole extended of different processing modes, the discipline under the effects of amplitude and other processing parameters have been summarized. The experimental results show that ultrasonic vibration drilling can reduce the torque and the amount of hole extent.
