In this paper, polyphenylacetylene (PPA) and nano-graphite were doped by bromine vapor. After being doped with bromine vapor, the electrical conductivity of polyphenylacetylene was enhanced by 11 orders of magnitude. Mechanical grinding was used to prepare PPA/Bromine/nano-Graphite composites. TG, FTIR, UV-Vis spectra and XPS spectra were used to study the interaction among PPA, bromine and nano-graphite.According to the results, when the content of bromine doped nano-graphite was low, bromine was the main point to enhance the conductivity of composites. The conjugation effect between bromine anions and composites improve the conductivity of composites, because of the conjugation effect reduced the band gap between conduction band and valence band, and it also increased the concentration of charge-carrier. When the content of bromine doped nano-graphite was high, the independent conductor unit, which was the interaction of bromine doped PPA and bromine doped-graphite, was the main factor to improve the conductivity of composites. When the content of bromine doped nano-graphite was higher, the network has been formed by bromine doped nano-graphite, and it made the conductivity of composites equivalent to the conductivity of nano-graphite.
