| The domestic and international society has paid more and more attention to environmental protection. Chemical waste is one of the largest sources of environmental pollution. According to their own practice, chemical plants in the world are dealing with liquid waste of production to meet with the standards of emission, or taking a better recycling program.Nanotechnology is an emerging area of technological development; Nano-material is an important branch of nanotechnology. TiO2 nano-powder is an important nano-material. It has unique anti-ultraviolet, antibacterial, photocatalysis and other characteristics. It has been widely used to photocatalyst materials, antibacterial ceramics, cosmetics, anti-UV, anti-bacterial coating, and car paint.In this paper, a company producing waste of TiCl4/MgCl2 catalyst has been analyzed, and the chemical components were determined. According to the chemical and physical properties of various components, combined with the practice of the company, a reasonable recycling program was developed. N-decane and TiCl4 were recycled. Electronic grade TiO2 nano-powder was prepared from the recycled TiCl4. The hydrochloric acid which came from preparation of TiO2 could be sent to the company's other production facilities. This program avoided secondary pollution of the environment.In this paper, the processes of preparing TiO2 nano-powder were studied, including initial concentration, reaction temperature, reaction time, calcinations process and post-treatment conditions. The best reaction conditions were obtained. The obtained TiO2 powder was of good crystallinity, particle size of between 10~40nm, narrow distribution of particle size, and the yield was up to 96.1%. |
