With the development of society and living standard of mankind, peoper pay more attention to inhabited environment and the safety performance of interior wall paints. Therefore, the application of anti-bacterial agents in the interior wall coating become the research hotspot. Antimicrobial coating is one of the important trends of interior wall paint. So, it is great significant that research both the preparation technology of antimicrobial powder which is broad-spectrum, highly efficient, durable antimicrobial properties and the application of in the inner wall paint.First of all, we improve the preparation technology of ultra-fine powder of inorganic compound antibacterial by experimental method, and found that the optimal processing condition is as follows:The concentration of Ti-fluid is 9.87%, the stirring speed is 350r/min, the dosage of sodium hexametaphosphate is 0.2%, reaction time is 30min, reaction temperature is 95℃, drying temperature is 100℃, drying time is3h, calcining temperature is 850℃, calcining time is 4h.The ultra-fine antimicrobial powder was prepared by the optimal processing conditions, the mean diameter of which is about 190nm, the particle size is uniformity and distribution is narrow measured by Laser Granularity Equipment. Antimicrobial powder is non-dissolution, the antibacterial rate of which to E coli, Staphylococcus aureus and Candida albicans all achieve 100% when the concentration is 100mg/L, and action time is 40min. furthermore, the antibacterial rate still can arrive above 95% for 6 months after burnting of antimicrobial powder. It can conclound that antimicrobial powder shows antibacterial durability and thermotolerance.Secondly, in order to prevent the powder to gather together and make them can well disperse in the base material of paint, powder was surface modified, take activation index as index, using several negative ion surface modification agents on powder surface. It was detemined that sodium stearate is the best surface modifier. The optimal conditions of surface modification were decided by non-factors experiment and quadrature experiment:the concentration of serous fluid is 1%, the dosage of sodium stearate is 2%wt, the stirring speed is 350r/min, modified temperature is 40℃, time is 50min, pH=6, drying temperature is 100℃, drying time is 1.5h.Finally, on the basis of optimual processing conditions of surface modification, take the ultra-fine inorganic compound antibacterial powder and modified ultra-fine inorganic antibacterial powder add to common paint to prepare antibacterial interior wall paint B and C. The antibacterial experiments were carried out respectively and the result shows that the antibacterial rate all reach more than 99.5%. Because the modified powder can not gather together and has a good compatibility with paint, C outstrip B in antibacterial effect. The antibacterial rate of C still can reach above 99% for 6 months after placeing. It shows a good and lasting antibacterial effcet.Modified ultra-fine inorganic compound antibacterial powder added to the common interior wall paint to made of antibacterial inner wall paint, the appropriate dosage is 1.5%. In this condition, the antibacterial effcet is the best. The added amount is few, so, it can not change other performances of inner wall paint.
