Schiff-base is one class of double bond C=N including compound, which is formed by dehydrating the nucleophilic addition of the carbonyl in aldehyde or ketone and the amidogen in primary amine.Due to the symmetry bis-Schiff base has several coordination site, it can be coordinated with many metal and forming-N, N, O,O-4 metal coordination complex with metal ion. The symmetry bis-Schiff base is the compound consisted ofπelectron conjugated bonding, it also possesses great status in coordination chemistry which is caused by its special structure, recently, Schiff-base and its complexes are widely used in many areas, such as photochromism, catalysis, medicines, analysis. The new synthetic symmetry bis-Schiff base ligand and complexes can be used in the research of semiconductor material, metallic material, optical switch. Along with the research of the selfassembled monolayer and the manufacture of the metallopharmaceuticals, it would provide great contribution to the development of bionics science. This subject emploies the o-phthalaldehyde(OPA) and thiosemicarbazide consisted of the dicarbonyls to synthesis Schiff-base. the Schiff-base has conjugated double bonds structure as well as the sulfur which adopted by the process has very good physiologically active, the complexes which formed by this ligand and metal Zn/Cu/Ag/Co contains two types of radicals. It also has the function of anticancer and antiviral. This process is based on the synthesis tracing by TLC under 70℃, which uses OPA and thiosemicarbazide as raw meterials, meanwhile, HAc as catalyzed. Furthermore, it emploies Solvo-thermal synthesis to coordinate that compound and metal and synthetizes the steady metal complex, the ligand utilizes thiol bond and metal to form-N, N, S, S-4 coordinate metal complexes as well.Salicylic aldehyde ethylene diamine Schiffbase is one type of representativeπ delocalized conjugated organic molecules, it has great flexibility and strong complexation.Salicylaldehyde with amines by the reaction of a Schiff base formation with the metal coordination complexes are widely used in the areas of photochromism. Symmetric double Schiff base ligand was synthesized with ethylene diamine and benzaldehyde, and subsequently with Zn/Cu/Cd complexes. Schiff base ligand and metal is formed as-N, N, O,O-4 coordinate metal complexes. This subject respectively uses symmetry binary carbonyl compounds OPA,symmetry binary aminated compounds and 1,2-ethylenediamine to prepare two types of bis-Schiff base ligand and synthetize the metal coordination complexes by Solvo-thermal synthesis methord.During measuring of Schiffbases and their complexes, the constitutional of metal complexes had been identified, and the reaction mechanism was discussed.
