In the sulfuric acid production, calcination of sulfur-bearing materials,catalysis and oxidation of sulfur dioxide, and the reaction of sulfur trioxide(gas) and water are all exothermic reaction which release a large number of reaction heat.the heat generated in the calcination and oxidation of sulfur trioxide is high temperature residual heat, which can be uesed sophisticated. In the sulfuric acid production, low temperature residual heat that consists of dissolving heat of sulfur dioxide in drying-absorbing system, formation and dilution heat of sulfuric acid is take away by cooling water in the drying-absorbing system. A large amount of energy is consumed in sulfuric acid production, but only a few heat can be recoveryed. From the point of circulate economy, the production costs can be reduced in the case of high utilization of residual heat, thus efficient heat recovery device should be adopted in sulfuric acid production. At present, the residual heat recovery and energy conservation in sulfuric acid production is becoming more and more important.The using of oxygen-enriched technology cause the concentrate of SO2 in the smelter off-gas become higher and higher. Using high-concentrated SO2 as raw materials to produce sulfuric acid, that will be improve the conversion efficiency and heat release effectively. At the same time,the heat which was created by the technological process can be used in the self-heated balance, then increase the stabilization of the reacting.Based on the calculation of the material balance and the calorific balance, several calculations have been done in this paper, included thermodynamics of SO2 conformed and SO3 absorbed; the rate of conforming and heat releasing; the alteration of temperature. And Compared these data with the result of analogue data by the Chem CAD software, then got the major factors of heat reclaim. The analog results can provide the heat quantity in high-concentrated of process smelter off-gas produced sulfuric acid. There will be have important reference for the equipment selection and the technological design.
