At present, the most of oil fields in China have gone into the tertiary phase which lead to the wide application of surfactant. The simple application of surfactant couldn't meet the requirement that the oil/water interfacial tension drop to 10-3mN·m-1. In order to achieve this target, the extra alkali is required, which could increase the corrosion of pipes and the difficulties of construction. The Gemini Surfactants studied in this paper could partly resolve the problem. The Gemini Surfactant is a new kind of surfactant which two or more hydrophilic group and lipophilic group are connected through chemical bond. Compared to the ordinary surfactant, the Gemini Surfactant presents preferable surfactivity which could be widely used in the tertiary recovery. In this paper, four kinds of Gemini Surfactants are synthetised, and the target products were characterized through infrared spectrometer. Then the experimentation and analysis were implemented with surface tensiometer, interfacial tensiometer and rotary viscosimeter, which demonstrate the excellent property of reducing the oil/water interfacial tension, better viscosity quality and interfacial property. Combination experiments indicate that the blending of surfactant and Gemini Surfactant could create preferable effect. In addition, the Gemini Surfactant and the combination system were applied to the microscopic displacement, which indicates that the combination of anionic Gemini Surfactant and its system can reduce the interfacial tension to10-3mN·m-1, presenting excellent interfacial activity.
