The domestic status quo of unheated single pipe gathering technique is investigated. In order to further study the feasibility of applying this technique in Daqing Oilfield, in-situ application research is conducted. The liquid production of single well and water cut trend of Pubei Oilfield , located at southern Changyuan in peripheral Daqing, is analyzed. The distribution of the temperature of wellhead liquid and reservoir is investigated, and basic in-situ tests are done, including physical properties and rheological characteristics of Pubei crude ,the analysis of the relationship between backpressure and liquid production. Based on the results of the basic tests , the research on the application of unheated single pipe gathering process is conducted, and the pattern of unheated single pipe gathering process is determined, mainly focusing on dealing with the frozen blockage of wellheads and pipelines in winter. The in-situ application is tested in 8# and 10# transfer station in Pubei. After the operation , experiences and conclusions are summarized. According to the research , unheated single pipe gathering process can be applied in the adjustments of surface gathering system when the low-production oilfields move into high water cut stage. The investment and cost can be reduced remarkably due to this. The optimization of surface gathering process can be solved when the exploitation situation of low- production oilfields in alpine area changes. Practical technology of the optimization of surface gathering system in low-production oilfields in high water cut stage is explored. Based on the conclusions of this research, the adjustments of gathering system in Pubei oilfield are directed.
