Formations in Eastern Part of B1 and B2 of SZ area are facing many challenges over forty years'development, such as low production rate, low production efficiency, developing extents of the formations quite different and so on. To solve these problems, the developing area has taken use of successful experiences from other blocks of SZ areas, and combing with fine reservoir description results and numerical simulation analysis, the studies on relationship between injection and production, as well as residual oil potential distribution and its characteristics at late production period with high water cut, are conducted. On the basis of study results, the types of residual oil distribution are classified and related developing measures are determined. The objective and principle of comprehensive development are identified, which is based on current technology limit of comprehensive development, and the final developing results are satisfying. In the process of comprehensive development, a well group is considered as a cell and a single sandbody is regarded as an adjustment target. With the technique of numerical simulation, the well pattern and developing formations become more complete; especially for single sandbody, the relationship between injection and production has improved by different well patterns and developing extent of thin and low productivity zones has increased. To injection wells and producers, there are eight kinds of stimulation methods, including well close and well control, plugging and etc to further make the well patter and injection-production more improved. So the percentage of low production rate and low production efficiency has greatly reduced. The study offers an effective way to improve development results of the area, indicating that the technology concerning keeping oil production stable and controlling water cut has a bright future and can offer experiences for similar development situations.
