When sheet metal press working with die, the feature of the finished product are beautiful appearance, light weight, smooth surface. This processing method is to save materials, high efficiency and low cost, and more other advantages.It is important in the mould, automotive, aviation, and other industry. In sheet metal forming,it will often produces some defects such as wrinkles, broken, spring back. The finite element simulation for stamping parts in automotive stamping, have many effects, including reducing product development cycles, reduceing product cost, forecasting forming defects and so on. This article used finite element simulation software DYNAFORM analyzed the forming process of the outside mounting plate for automobile taillights, and analyzed the main defects in the forming process of taillight. Moreover,it analyzed how much pressure-pad-force,radius of corner,coeffiicient of friction,punch speed effect the outside mounting plate for automobile taillights in forming process. Finally, primary and secondary order of the influence of these parameters are given (by orthogonal test method), and optimum strategy of these parameters is given (including the optimal range of parameters).The optimum strategy of these parameters was defined by using finite element simulation software DYNAFORM analyzed the forming process of the outside mounting plate for automobile taillights。This study includes the following aspects。1) The basic theory of sheet metal forming. Mainly includes the key technical and basic theoretical of numerical simulation of sheet metal forming。2) Analysis of four parameters-pressure-pad-force,radius of corner,coeffiicient of friction,punch speed, different values of effecting the outside mounting plate for automobile taillights in forming process.3) Based on specific forming conditions of defects in actual production, the final test target was determined to the maximum reduction rate.It analyzed the orthogonal test of pressure-pad-force,radius of corner,coeffiicient of friction,punch speed,which four process parameters, compare obtained effect on the maximum reduction rate which one is the largest, while identifying a set of optimal process parameters. And on this basis, the test results, the volatility of the optimal range of parameters.which can be used in actual production as a reference.
