In this thesis, colorful water-based coatings using the interaction of the macromolecular colloid and the cross linker were prepared. And the gelatinous particles are modified by the suspended media system formed by the suspension stabilizer and the protective glue. The effects and mechanism of the suspension stabilizer for the protective glue and the system obtained thereof are also discussed. By studying the main influence factors of the dispersed phase and the dispersion medium, the effects of different species, amounts of colloid and the ratio of different colloid on the particles are researched. The suspension dispersion and its changes in concentration can affect the structure of the protective glue, and the changes in concentration of the protective glue can also influence the dispersed system and furthermore the colorful particles of the coatings. The structures are characterized by XRD, laser particle size distribution and Zeta potential, IR and UV, respectively. The results indicate that:1. The differences in viscosity of the dispersed phase and the dispersion medium are the initial indication to prepare the gelatinous particles, and the viscosity of the dispersed phase can be adjusted by the amount of cellulose..2. Different colloid system can affect the particles and the performance of the coating. The colloid system 1 can be also called the Gel system, the colloid system 2 can be called the PVO system, and because of the higher particle strength of the Gel system and PVO system's shorter film drying time, the combination of both systems can overcome their shortcomings and create perfect properties. Thus, in my study, these two systems combined with different weight ratios were conducted and it turns out that Gel/PVO with weight ratios of 1:1 and 2:1 are superior for coating application.3. The suspension dispersion medium, which contains the dispersing agent (Dispe.) and protective glue (Inorg.), is the most important factor for improving the pigment impermeability of gel particles and the processing performance of the coatings. When the Dispe. concentration is 0.5~0.58% and 1%, and Inorg. concentration is 5% and 10%, respectively, the lattice spacing of the crystal structure of the complex dispersion medium is small, and the Zeta potential of the solution is the minimum. We can find that the best ratio of the Dispe to Inorg is about 1:10. Furthermore, with the Inorg concentration increasing, the lattice spacing first decreases and then increases, and the average particle size of the dispersion gradually increases. 4. When the ratio of the Dispe to Inorg is about 1:10, the colorful coatings prepared are the best.5. IR technology confirmed that the hydrogen bonds are formed between Dispe and Inorg.
