As the leading development trend of arc welding, the inverter arc welding power supply has many advantages. With the quick development DSP,it uses DSP as its core. The design chooses IGBT as the switch elements of main circuit, the components and parameters are chose to build the welding inverter with the capability of 4.5kVA, with topological structure of AC-DC-AC-DC. The thesis mainly researches the control system of the welding inverter. It details the realization of inverter control by analyzing the implementation of A/D conversion, PWM pulse signal output and PID closed-loop control and so on.Meanwhile the PID method is analyzed and the control system is simulated by Matlab /Simulink .Finally, both hardware circuit and software process are experimented. The results proved that the control circuit meet the requirements.
