CNC machining have high productive efficiency, high quality and flexibility which make it the most widely used all over the world, so it has very important application value to research and analyze the virtual machining process simulation. By using VC++ and OpenGL, a virtual machining process simulation system has been developed, which is composed of the visual device of the NC lathe and NC milling machine. It realized proper redistribution of the equipment of production line, overall simulation of equipments and the real-time walk-through in the virtual scene. The main works are summarized as follows: 1) Equipment model of the virtual machining process simulation will be built on.2) It realizes overall simulation of virtual equipments by using double buffer of OpenGL. It also realizes the forecast of cutting force and cutting temperature and the error show of workpiece`s deformation caused by cutting force based on the study of NC Lathe processing simulation.3) User can easily achieve a rational distribution of equipment by three-dimensional mode of interactive operation.4) Simulating human behavior, user can realize the real-time walk-through in the virtual environment.
