During 40 years of development, dry gas seal with its excellent performance in the field of industrial production has been widely applied. In order to improve the effect of dry gas seal seal, domestic and foreign scholars have studied with its structure, but are generally based on the study of spiral groove, little research studies of elastic component(Spring). Welded metal bellows not only plays a buffer or a compensation for the axial displacement result from the fretting and axial vibration, but also by their own elastic and sealing medium pressure to impose certain pressure with the seal face to play seal role. Therefore welding metal bellows instead of the original elastic elements. Analyzing welding metal bellows dynamic performance analysis by the ANSYS finite element software, to improve the effects of dry gas seal.Firstly, The article makes use of PRO-E software to build models of Single arc welding metal bellows,double arc welding metal bellows and three arc welding metal bellows,then import to ANSYS software,the inherent frequency and the shape of the vibration were obtained by the modal analysis of the bellows.Through the analysis and comparison, the geometric parameters obtained in the same situation, the single circular frequency is the largest,then the double arc, the minimum is the three circular arc; While calculated the inherent frequency using the theoretical formula of the bellow, and then campared with inherent frequency calculated by Modal Analysis, thus it verified the reliabilities of the results of the analysis,which are the foundation of the dynamic response analysis.Secondly,For three types of bellows by harmonic response analysis, obtained the displacement response value-frequency curves. Through the analysis, under the same conditions, three circular bellows, is the minimum displacement of the optimal choice we.Finally,Using modal superposition method for three types of bellows by transient dynamic analysis, obtained the displacement response value-time curves and the stress-time curves. Through the analysis and comparison, the geometric parameters obtained in the same situation the double circular arc displace is the minimum, then the three circular arc,the largest is the single circular arc;For the stress, three circular arc is the largest, single and two circular arc is similar. Comprehensive consideration of the two factors, the two circular arc is our best choice.which are the foundation of the Optimization design of bellows.
