Computer Simulation of braid material microstructure have been in the spotlight of people in recent years. However, the finite element anlysis model of braided material microstructure has the particularity. Conventional methods are difficult to establish the finite element analysis model in the ABAQUS.User can combine Object-oriented programming language Python and the graphical user interface provided by ABAQUS/CAE to solve this problem. The automatic establishment of the complex models could improve the work efficiency obviously.ABAQUS is one of the most advanced nonlinear finite element analysis software in the whole world. It focus on calculating with wide functionality and performance of the simulation.Although ABAQUS provides widely function for users, learning to use of the software requires the porfessional knowledge.It will spent lots of time to learn to use the software.Therefore, using the Python written the finite element analysis model of the kernel. Users can fast, easy, accurate modeling.ABAQUS also provides an interface for the secondary development, through the graphical user interface (GUI) for secondary development. The complicated issue of the modeling process are resolved successfully.User only need to enter the relevant parameters in the graphical user interface,the Model can be established.The article mainly discusessed the methods on Computer Simulation for braid material microstructure and its realization through program, which includes researches on Several braided structures.The main tasks are as follows:Developed a 3D-Weave the modeling program, designed and developed parametric GUI interface.Developed chopped fiber braided structure modeling program.Developed Z_Pin type of braided structure modeling program.Solve the chopped fiber, chopped fiber and Z-Pin fiber intersection problem.Using ABAQUS for the computer simulation and design of braided stucture,It is established the finite element analysis model for further study to the mechanical properties.This approach not only play a powerful calculation functions of ABAQUS, avoiding the tedious manual operations and reduce the use of difficulty,and has some practical significance.
