The trend of world offshore oil development is reach to deepwater. Up to now, there are more than 50 large oil and gas oil field developed all over the world. Also there is a rich oil and gas reservoir in China South Sea, which play an important role in ensuring and accelerating China National Economics continuous development. Therefore, after more than thirty years China spent on shallow water, it starts to go forward into deeper China South Sea , with a beginning of 150 to 400 meters. As a typical offshore structure, deepwater pile foundation platform has a lot of technique issues and will be a big challenge to us in this sea field.Among kinds of issues, the mudmat of jacket or Compliant tower is one of the most important sub-system, and the design philosophy of it has been enlarged with the development of deeper water depth and complicated structural framings. Herein compared with traditional shallow water mudmat and based on the engineering practice, especially for the deeper water jacket, new way and detail design method is recommended in this paper.
