The same or different kinds of big metal plate can be firmly combined instantly by explosive welding,which economize the precious rare metal materials and make the best use of the physical, chemical and mechanical properties of various metal materials and as a result gets the favor in the industry. In this thesis, welding performance, microstructure of interface and corrosion resistance performance of original and welded structural transition joint of Al(5083)-Al(1060)-St(CCSB) which is used in shipbuilding industry is studied. In order to solve problems of transition joint of Al-St in construction and application of shipbuilding, four ties of high performance composite material by explosive welding is also analysed.Aluminium alloy and steel is connected by welding with transition joint of Al-Al-St so that corrosion resistance and combination performance are improved remarkably and labor condition is also improved, but microsruucture of interface and combination performance are affected obviously by weld thermal cycle. Aluminium alloy is welded by TIG and MIG welding and steel is welded by MAG welding with transition joint of Al-Al-St. Influence of microsruucture of interface and combination performance by welding procedure is studied through orthogonal experiment which take welding current of these welding methods as main influence factor. Shearing strength and pull-off strength of transition joint of Al-Al-St which connect aluminium alloy and stell structure is decreased gradually by increment of welding current of TIG welding of aluminium alloy and MAG welding of steel. Performance of transition joint of Al-Al-St is influenced little by MIG weiding of aluminium alloy. Sequence of influence to mechanical property of transition joint should be TIG welding of aluminium >MAG welding of steel> MIG welding of aluminium.Determination of temperature field of interface in welding process, especially peak temperature and combination performance of welded transition joint of Al-Al-St shows that to meet requirement of performance of transition joint according to related standards, temperature of interface of composite material of Al-Al-St should be controlled under 300℃because metallurgical structure has not changed under this temperature. The main reason of decreasement of performances of transition joint of Al-Al-St is that fusion and deformation of metals in interface are changed, cracks are increased and extended and stress condition is also changed under welding heat.
