With the increased awareness of environmental protection, it put forward higher requirements to the development and research of fiber-reinforced composites. In the past, it is the high-performance fiber which is used in the production process such as carbon fiber,aramid fiber, and the production process is very complex, high cost, and even brings environmental pollution. Jute fiber as a natural fiber has not only low density, high strength and so on, its sources are also wide and at low price, it even has the natural advantages of biodegradability. Therefore, this paper mainly choose jute fiber as reinforcement to produce jute fiber reinforced thermosetting resins in order to provide theoretical basis to the actual production.This issue choose jute fiber as reinforce fiber and two kinds of typical thermosetting resin unsaturated polyester resin and epoxy resin as matrix material.. It focuses on the process and performance of jute fiber reinforced thermosetting resin composites, then get the strength and modulus of composite formula by establishing a simplified draw tensile mechanical model of jute fiber reinforced thermosetting resin composite.At first, the impurities such as pectin are removed, the strength and elongation of jute fiber increase by the alkali treatment, then determine the optimum alkali treatment by comparing the differences between the treated and untreated fiber.Second, considering of the effect of the fiber dispersion in the matrix resin to the properties of composites, the pretreatment to the alkali treated fiber is done by acetone solution in order to increase the dispersion in a resin matrix.Third, jute fiber reinforced thermosetting resins with different content and different length are repared, and its mechanical performance are tested, then the effect of fiber content and fiber length on composite properties are analyzed.Finally, a simplified draw tensile mechanical model of jute fiber reinforced thermosetting resin composite is established, and the draw strength and modulus of composite formula are analyzed and calculated.
