Experiment with regard to electromagnetic anti-scaling technology is conducted in order to cut anti-scaling cost, reduce working strength and intensify anti-scaling performance. The technology deals with the fluid in the oil-water well pipes by an electromagnetic generator. The electromagnetic wave generated changes the binding mode of ions and the precipitation method of scale to prevent scaling.Factors affecting scaling in the oil-water well pipes and traditional anti-scaling measures are summarized; mechanism of electromagnetic anti-scaling is analyzed; some of the theories is verified. Employing variable frequency electromagnetic excitation source, the influence of electromagnetic wave on physical properties of water, and the influence of electromagnetic coil winding turns and frequency band on anti-scaling performance are researched by indoor static test. At first, indoor dynamic simulation experimental platform is built; and thus parameters such as the coil turns and frequency band, is further optimized by the indoor flow experiment; and then in view of Static Experiment results, optimal parameters are obtained. Furthermore, by dynamic simulation experiment, the influence of fluid temperature and flow stream velocity on anti-scaling performance is researched. According to the results of the experiment, working parameters of electromagnetic anti-scaling are optimized, and mechanism of electromagnetic anti-scaling is analyzed and summarized. The result of field test in Xianhe Oil Production Plant of Shengli Oil Field indicates that electromagnetic anti-scaling prevent scale deposition on the pipe wall effectively and make it flocculated and soft; moreover, it is cost-effective and pollution-free to extend the period of scale removal and reduce working strength greatly. Therefore, the electromagnetic anti-scaling has enormous potential for application.
