Water quality monitoring is the important method of reflect aquatic environment quality and pollutant source actuality in season, nicety and in the round, water quality monitoring is also the precondition and foundation of establish operable contamination control layout and aquatic environment protection. For the moment, water quality monitoring mostly adopt large-scale laboratory appliance for example atomic fluorescence spectrograph, gas chromatograph, liquid chromatograph, inductively coupled plasma emission spectrometer, gas phase and color phase velocitron, Liquid chromatography-mass spectrography instrument and so on. These laboratory appliance questions of large volume, long sampling test period, high cost and so on, no longer be able to satisfy detective demand that water quality monitoring bring forward to monitoring instrument remove, real time, celerity and multiparameter. In recent years, the development of MEMS technology and micro robot technology offer new solution to environmental monitoring instruments' miniaturization, and infuse new activity. Water quality on-line moniting microsystem possess multifunction, real time, celerity, carry convenience and others function have became the importance research direction of every country in the world. Based on this background, project "Three-gorge Reservoir Environmental Mnitoring Microsystem" adopt chemical priming technology, microelectronic technique, MEMS technology, picture sensor technology and so on, research and development portable water quality on-line moniting microsystem buildup by modularity minitype spectrograph, manifold sensor and micro robot, could satisfy a good many demand upwards to water quality on-line moniting, possess extensive potential application.The article expounded system composition and gross structure of water quality on-line monitoring system, finished the physical design of water quality on-line monitoring system, designed the system circuits use C52 singlechip for kernel, realized the control of interrelated functional module, and communicate with system nucleus board, expounded the design of control program. the test result show that system control circuit can come to a expectant performance index.The article was divided into six chapters, the water quality measuring work instancy, and the development process, and domestic and foreign research present situation were introduced in chapter one. The instrument survey principle and multi-spot survey technology were introduced, the main measure object and measure method were introduced, and the overall scheme of the instrument were elaborated in chapter two. The analysis to the instrumentation various essential function module principle of work and the performance requirement were carried on, and the corresponding design proposal were determined in chapter three. Embedded hardware circuit was designed based on C52, functional module of data collection portion of water quality on-line monitoring system were confirmed in chapter four.
