Nonlinear optical and the study of Nonlinear optical crystal (NLO) materials have important relationship with the development of laser technology. Second harmonic generation (SHG) effect was first found by Franken in 1961.This not only marked the naissance of nonlinear optics, but also enhance the development of nonlinear optical crystal materials strongly.In order to research and explor nonlinear optical crystals, researchers conducted a large number of meaningful work, and achieved fruitful results, and gaind a lot of excellent nonlinear optical crystals.Nonlinear optical materials in the modern science and technology, especially in a number of military and civilian high-tech fields,such as deep water submarine communications, laser blinding weapons, marine fish detection, optical recording, color laser printing, laser projection television, optical computing and optical communication, etc.,are series applications.Nonlinear optical crystal growth, are now commonly used methods as Kyropoulos method, Czochralski method, flux method, hydrothermal method. Hydrothermal method is the use of high temperature and pressure conditions in the atmosphere for those insoluble or insoluble substances dissolve, or dissolve the reaction product of the material by controlling the solution temperature within the autoclave to produce excessive saturation and convection to form crystal precipitation method. This paper mainly studied the synthesis about KBe2BO3F2 (KBBF), BaAlBO3F2 (BABF), Na5[B2P3O13] (NBP), NaBa4Al2B8O18Cl3 by hydrothermal method,their hydrothermal synthesis conditions were studied, and their XRD and morphology were characterized.In this article we first synthesized KBe2BO3F2 (KBBF) by hydrothermal method, which was a very practical value of the deep UV nonlinear optical crystal, so far, using flux method has get KBBF crystal.Because the layered structure characteristics,this crystal was difficult to grow out so large size that we could use,recently reported in Fujian, the KBBF crystal had grown by hydrothermal method, using the hot water heat, demanding high reaction conditions, the article synthesized KBBF by low temperature hydrothermal method,the experiment become more easily, and characterized KBBF by XRD,TEM,SEM and SHG..BaAlBO3F2 (BABF) crystal in the deep UV field has important potential applications, BABF growes by flux method easily crack along the (001)surface, it is difficult to obtain high quality single crystal. This article first synthesized BABF microcrystalline by hydrothermal method, the study found the ratio of reactants had important effect on the synthesis of high purity BABF,at the same time,the study analyzed the relationship between the reaction temperature,pH and other parameters and the synthesis reaction, the reaction mechanism was explained. And characterized BABF by XRD,SEM and SHG.Nonlinear optical crystal Nas [B2P3O13](NBP) have been found in recent years, NBP crystal has a smaller refractive index (calculated data) and other features, making it possible for THz-band frequency conversion crystals, window crystals of optical system and so on. In the year of 1998, C. Hauf, who synthesized NBP by hydrothermal method.In this paper,the experimental methods were improved, simplified the experimental procedure, and the NBP synthesized by hydrothermal method were characterized by XRD,SEM,SHG.At the same time,the paper analyzed the impact with the reaction temperature, concentration and reaction time on the synthesis of NBP.A new nonlinear optical crystal NaBa4Al2B8O18Cl3 was recently discovered. Belong to boric acid salts, it is valuable in the laser frequency doubling, electro-optical modulation, optical parametric oscillation and other areas of potential applications.Flux method has been successfully grown NaBa4Al2B8O18Cl3 crystal, but the experimental procedure was more complex and demanded high experimental conditions, this atical synthesized NaBa4Al2B8O18Cl3 by hydrothermal method, analyzed the impact with reactant concentration, reaction time, reaction temperature and pH on the synthesis before and after.We also characterized the NaBa4Al2B8O18Cl3 by XRD and SHG.
