Jatropha Curcas L is the Euphorbiaceae Jatropha L.plants, widely distributed in tropical and subtropical regions, also grows in dry-hot valleies in the southwest region of China. Proved by modern science:the tree has effects of nutrients, anti-bacterial, anti-virus, insecticide, anti-tumor, also good for health care.Total saponins of panax notoginseseng is the main component of panax notoginseseng. Its pharmacological actions lie in expanding blood vessel, reducing oxygen consumption of cardiac muscle, inhibiting blood platelet agglutination, elongating coagulation time, reducing blood lipid, removing free radicals, anti-inflammation and anti-oxygenation.Imidazoles, a kind of five membered hetorocyclic compound, are important structural units presented in biological natural products, pesticides, pharmaceuticals as well as functional materials. Some imidazole derivatives have been used as drug for antibacterial, antifungal, anti-inflammatory, antitumor, and treatment of some diseases. Since the steroids containing N atom showed interesting bioactivities and have attracted attentions of chemists and physiologists for many years. One of this thesis work is to extract, separate, purify, and identify chemical constituents from J. curcas leaves。16 compounds were identified and one of the compounds is a new compound isolated for the first timeAnother work of this thesis described the structural modification of panaxadiol and panaxatriol isolated from the total saponins of panax notoginseseng and studies of introduction of imidazole group to 1,2 or 3 positions of modified compounds.
