Firstly, this paper demonstrates the mechanism of photosynthetic bacteria in the nitrogen and phosphorus removal with the conventional sludge removal rate of the contrast test, and draws a conclusion that photosynthetic bacteria arenitrogen and organic matter through aerobic and decomposition of the direct absorption of anti-nitrification to nitrogen removal. However, regardless of aerobic or anaerobic conditions, the photosynthetic bacteria and phosphorus removal is through direct absorption of organic matter decomposition tophosphorus removal. Then, this paper applies to the experimental study of photosynthetic bacteria, photosynthetic bacteria wereinvesti-gated by free and immobilized photosynthetic bacteria nitrogen and phosphorus removal of the most suitable conditions and treatment effect. Finally, through the experiment shows that photosynthetic bacteria free nitrogen and phosphorus removal is the optimum technological conditions are suitable conditions are hydraulic retention time and volume 5d, bacteria inoculation amount about 1/4000, pH value 7.5, temperature 25℃and the light micro-aerobic conditions. And photosynthetic bacteria immobilized nitrogen and phosphorus removal is the most suitable operating conditions and the hydraulic loading of 50.0/m3/m2.d and filter tower thickness for packing 7.20m.In the most appropriate technology conditions , photosy-nthetic bacteria and degradation NH3-N and TP is the best. And the last step of the trial shows that photosynthetic bacteria and TP NH3-N concentration values are 17.9mg/L and 2.98m/L, and the removal rates are 60.24% and 56.71%, which are up to our municipal wastewater treatment plant emission standards (the second level standards of GB18918-2002). Immobilized concentration photosynthetic bacteria values of NH3-N and TP are 3.52mg/L and 0.85mg/L, and the removal rates are 90.9% and 87.7% which both are up to our municipal wastewater treatment plant emission standards of GB18918-2002.
