Application of photosynthetic bacteria(PSB) on the treatment of municipal wastewater is investigated in this dissertati. This paper mainly studies culture conditions,immobilization method of PSB and removal of nitrogen and phosphorus of actual municipal wastewater with immobilized PSB cells . Firstly marine PSB is separated and purified from sea mud around Qingdao Pier by specifically culture medium and means of agar dilution. Secondly , the effect of temperature ,illumination,pH,salinity and inoculation on the culture of marine PSB is discussed. At the same time, the influences of the plant growth hormones on the growth of PSB also be studied, and attempt to promote proliferation of PSB by adding some plant growth hormones. Finally,PSB is immobilized and applied to remove phosphorus and nitrogen from municipal wastewater. The results of the experiments included:1,Comparing to other PSB isolated from sludge or freshwater,the growth period of marine PSB was longer,and cultural temperature was lower,and salinity for its growth was higher.2,The three plant growth hormones (triacontanol,gibberellin andα-naphthylacetic acid )could enhance the growth of PSB in low concentration(0.1 mg/L-1.0 mg/L). In this aspect,the best is gibberellin,optimum concentration of which is 0.5 mg/L,and after 12 days of cultivation,the bacteria concentration increased by 153.9% than in controlled groups. This indicates that in enrichment cultivation,it is feasible and practical to promote the growth of PSB by adding some plant growth hormones.3,The marine PSB which is immobilized by calcium alginate can enhance the removal efficiency of N and P evidently. The immobilized PSB shows the greater dissolving capacity of N,P in the condition of 25℃,light-aerobic,beginning cell of low density and the starvation treatment.4,At the optimum reaction conditon,the removal rate of PO4-P and NH3-N in HRT 3 days is 88.78%,76.8% respectively, Purification capacity of nitrogen and phosphorus of photosynthetic bacteria also be promoted by adding plant growth...
