China has become one of the few sewing machine production bases after several industrial transfers in these years. The development modes of domestic enterprises are transforming from imitating to independent development, and the electromechanical integration sewing machine has become one hot issue.The paper based on a cooperation project of Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology and a sewing machine business enterprise, and research on knot tying machine's embedded control platform. The platform uses an embedded customized technology and embedded software technology, combines sewing technology with advanced information technologies, and achieves flexible and efficient sewing process, and has important practical value.Firstly, the thesis analyses knot tying machine kinematic relations, and according to performance requirements, selects the appropriate execute device. As a sewing machine that is intelligent, versatile, and able to sew a variety of patterns, the knot tying machine needs multi-axis to work. The paper raises the knot tying machine's control system that based on the chip S3C2410 and the Windows CE, and lists its system block diagram. In order to shorten the development cycle and reduce development costs, chip S3C2410 is used as control core, and motion control chips PCL6143 and IRMCK201 are used to control each axis. The paper introduces the detail of the system's hardware design.Questions related to motion control in intelligent sewing equipment usually influencing the equipment on its work efficiently and stability. The thesis dissertates the questions about multidimensional coordinative control during the procedure for sewing pattern and the orientation for single axis's zero position and deviation during sewing, and gives the viable solution for every question afterward.The embedded operation system is costumed for deleting and adding system components, and finally Windows CE operating system is transplanted to control board. After developing driver and control software, the system can control motors of the knot tying machine. The system has passed the test.
