Because of the manyexcellent performance of RTV Silicone rubber adhesive,it iswidely used in the aviation field. The modification research on adhesiveness of RTVSilicon Rubber adhesive in this paper mainly includes silane coupling agent treatedfumed silica modification,MQ-type silicone resin modification,bonding of surfacemodification to improve its bonding performance.The reseach of RTV-2 silicone rubber adhensive reinforced by fumedsilica which modified by silane coupling agentM-5 fumed silica was surface modified by diffferent silane coupling agent(γ-Glycidoxypropy1 trimethoxysilane,γ-Methacryloxypropyl trimethoxy silane,vinyltrimethoxysilane) to enhance the compatibilityof silicone rubber,the change ofsurface status about fumed silica before and after treatment was characterized byFT-IR;Modified silica was added to room temperature vulcanizable(RTV) siliconerubber,the mechanical properties of which was tested;Metal and silicone rubber wasalso treated by silane coupling agent. The FT-IR results showed that silane couplingagent molecular group was grafted on the surface of fumed silica. The mechanicalproperties tests showed that silica which modified by silane coupling agent reinforcedsilicone rubber obviously,the best effect treatment of silane coupling agent isvinyltrimethoxysilane,the tensile strength of silicone rubber which blend 15% fumedsilica is 2.54 MPa,the adhesion strength reach 1.5 MPa.The preparation of silicone resin and reinforced RTV-2 silicone rubberadhensiveMQ-type silicone resin and phenyl silicones was prepared by water-glass,hexamethyldisiloxane and phenyltriethoxysilan, the function of silicone resin wasresearched. The factors influencing the synthesis of silicone resin were discussed andoptimal condition we reacquired. FTIR results showed that the main component of theproduct was MQ silicone resin and phenyl silicones. The different types of MQsilicone resin were prepared and was used to reinforce RTV-2 silicone rubbers. MQ silicone resin which applied to enhance 103 silicone rubber,the tensile strength,activity period and the bonding strength was tested. The synthesis process of MQsilicone resin is: the the molar ratio of hexamethyldisiloxane and sodium silicate is0.4,reaction temperature is 30℃,reaction time is 3 h. When the amount of MQsilicone is 12%, the tensile strength of resin-modified silicone rubber is 0.9 MPa;Al-6146# silicone rubber sheet adhesive strength is 2.1 MPa.The research about Bonding properties of adhension surface treated bydifferent surface modification methodsIn the experiment,the 6146# silicone rubber plate were surface modified bySilane coupling agent and Low-temperature plasma treatment. The Contact angle andsurface energyof modified Silicone Rubber were tested through contact angle andinterface tension measuring instrument. Employing self-made silicone rubberadhesive,the bonding samples of modified silicone rubber and aluminum wereprepared,the bond strength of the samples were tested byRallyof electronic testingmachine. The results show that Silane coupling agent has a significant effect on thesurface modification and Bonding properties of silicone rubber. When KH550:KH560is 1:1,the effect of surface modification is best,the contact angle of water hasdecreased 35.1 %,the surface energyhas increased 49.5 %,while the adhesive strengthhas increased 148.9 %;immersion was less effective than Brush Painting than;surfacemodification on the Silicone rubber through Low-temperature plasma has a certainimprovement for its surface hydrophilic and surface energy,but the effect of which isless than the Silane coupling agent,and the plasma treatment of the silicone rubbersurface had a clear aging.Preparation of new-style RTV-2 silicone rubber adhesive for aircraftNew-style RTV-2 silicone rubber adhesive formulations is as follows:GroupA-m(103 silicone rubber):m(fumed silica modified byA171):m(MQ siliconeresin)=25:2:2Group B-m(n-butyl borate):m(dibutyltin dilaurate)=4:5m(A):m(B)=18:1Surface treatment agent-m(KH550):m(KH560):m(anhydrous ethanol)=1:1:50。The performance comparison results of New-style RTV-2 silicone rubber adhesive andGPS-2 adhesive is: New-style RTV-2 silicone rubber adhesive's processibility and adhesive strength are obviously superior to GPS-2 adhensive,so it can completelyreplace GPS-2 adhesive.
