This paper studies silane coupling agent modified silica nanoparticles(SiO2) experimental methods. Using the modified silica nanoparticles to fill silicone rubber and investigate its effect on the mechanical properties of silicone rubber. And compare the different affects of α-silane coupling agent and γ-silane coupling agent.Firstly, the synthesis process of α-silane coupling agent were studied. As chloromethyltrichlorosilane a mainly raw material to prepare chloromethyl trimethoxysilane by Alcoholysis. The first part is the substitution reaction of methylacrylate and chloromethyl trimethoxy silane nucleophilic, obtaining the α-570. The second part is ethylenediamine and chloromethyl trimethoxysilane as raw materials, under certain conditions, obtaining the α-DAMO by the decomposition reaction amine. Finally, mercaptomethyl trimethoxysilane is prepared by Thiourea and chloromethyl trimethoxysilane reaction. At last, analyzing the product with FT-IR and 1H-NMR, the results confirmed that the resulting product is indeed the expected α-silane structure.The author uses two different means of traditional modified silane coupling agent and the new silane coupling agent synthesized silica nanoparticles surface experiment. Find without pre-hydrolysis silane coupling agent modification effect more excellent. The main experimental methods is adding a certain amount of the silane coupling agent in anhydrous toluene silica nanoparticles mixture, obtaining the modified silica nanoparticles under certain conditions. By this method, modifying silica nanoparticles with different types of silane coupling agents(KH-560、KH-570、DAMO、α-570 and α-DAMO) and characterized by FT-IR, analyzing the modification effect.Finally, the author carried out applied research of silane coupling agent modified silica nanoparticles in silicone rubber. By preparing different kinds and different amount of silane coupling agent modified silica nanoparticles, and add it as filler to the Silicone rubber. Kneading, vulcanization and obtain the high-temperature vulcanized rubber, testing and analyzing the mechanical properties(hardness, tensile strength, elongation at break and tear strength properties). Finally, characterizing the vulcanization rubber by SEM and observing the morphology distribution of silica nanoparticles in silicone rubber.
