The Circulation Gas Blower for CDQ furnace of Steel-Making Plant of Baoshan Iron & Steel Co., Ltd. was a very important equipment which furnished circulating nitrogen for coke cooling. The circulation gas volume, which was the base of in-furnace gas circulation, made great sense to the Dry Coke Quenching Process and had a direct influence on the temperature of coke exhaust and the temperature of boiler entry. A quick response of rotational-speed adjustment of The Circulation Gas Blower against set points was required by the Dry Coke Quenching Process.The Hydraulic Coupling, whose controller, an early 1990's product, was imported from Japan, have been adopted for speed-adjustment by The Circulation Gas Blower for CDQ furnace of Phaseâ…¡project in Baoshan Iron & Steel Co., Ltd. The speed control mode in this case was open-loop. The controller could only adjust the position of transmit pipe, due to which a relative severe hysteresis loop could be avoidless after long-term use.Author of this paper has developed the research work for the controller of Circulation Gas Blower against the existing problem and fulfilled the development for the controller of Circulation Gas Blower on the basis of SCM (single chip microcomputers), incl. hardware development, software programming and the research of control methods. This controller was finally put into application on site and enjoyed good reputation.The first chapter mainly expounded the development background of The Circulation Gas Blower controller as well as the main control methods adopted for Large Lag System home and abroad.The second chapter mainly expounded the design and development for the hardware of The Circulation Gas Blower controller, incl. design for power panel, central controller board, and peripheral circuit as well as the revamp-work of site circuit regarding to the application of this controller.The third chapter mainly expounded the design and development for the software of The Circulation Gas Blower controller, incl. software general design, setting of parameters and the development of controller monitor software.The fourth chapter mainly expounded the control strategy research of The Circulation Gas Blower, incl. research on PID control on basis of particle swarm algorithm and open-close loop speed feedback control on basis of prior knowledge as well as the final application condition on site.The fifth chapter was mainly the conclusion and prospect of this paper.
