| Based on the principles of extractive rectification and chemical engineering, the problems presented in the acetonitrile butadiene extraction plant are analysed and the reasonable measures are proposed for the plant revamping and the process optimizing. The method of plate-by-plate calculation is used to extractive column simulation by Aspen Plus software. The internals of the column, the suitable bubbling propaller and multiple-hem-inclined down comers, are adopted to improve greatly the operation flexibility and production capacity of the extractive rectification at the same time the plant normally operated under high load condition. After revamping, butadiene production capacity of the unit raises from24,000t/a to59,000t/a. Through the improvement in technological process, the waste heat carried by the circulating solvent is fully utilized, thus the energy consumption of the unit and the cost of production are reduced significantly.
