With the dramatic increase of the aging population, China has quickly changed into an aging society. The aging populations have brought huge challenges to our country's political, economic, cultural and social areas, etc. "Views of comprehensive promotion of pension and home care services" being issued in China, the home care and pension in our country will surely develop rapidly. Based on this background, the health care clothing research based on home-based care for the aged is proposed in this thesis. The health care clothing is capable of guarding physiological parameter information including human blood pressure, pulse rate and body temperature, and sending the information to personal terminal devices via Bluetooth modules. Thus the old people and medical staff can be kept abreast of physical condition of the aged, and the early warning of some unexpected diseases can be strengthened. So "combining prevention with control" can be achieved and medical and social recourses can be conserved, which shall contribute a lot to the construction of a conservation-minded society.The main contents of the thesis are as follows:Firstly, by comparing physiological signal characteristics of the human body and related detection techniques as well as considering certain characteristics of the health care clothing, the oscillometric method is chosen for the blood parameters detection, and the NTC thermistor is chosen for body temperature detection. With plenty of experiments carried out, blood pressure detection module, temperature detection module and the Bluetooth communication module as well as other function modules are designed using appropriate chips.Secondly, C language programming is adopted as our software development tools. Relevant subroutine modules are debugged in Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 integrated development environment. The algorithm of MAP (Mean artery pressure), SBP (Systolic blood pressure) and DBP (Diastolic blood pressure) are elaborated in the thesis.Finally, two kinds of prototype clothes are developed and relative physiological information is acquired on twenty volunteers. The feasibility and anti-interference ability in daily activities of the health care clothing are evaluated. Meanwhile, questionnaires are answered by the volunteers and then fabric comfort of the health care clothing is appraised qualitatively.The physiological information detection health-care-clothing based on wearable technology are designed in this research, which not only has a good feasibility but also breaks traditional concept of monitoring systems. Also real-time monitoring of physiological information is achieved. The health care clothing will have a great practical significance in promoting the model of home-based care for aged and easing the heavy social pension pressure.
