The recycle of salvaged material in the low-tech environmental facilities is a key method to save energy, protect the environment and achieve sustainable development. At the same time, it is also the best artistic expression to lead the designer and the public to reform the salvaged material in the most proper way.The recycle of salvaged material in the low-tech environmental facilities should follow the principles of optimization of the efficacy, adequate reform and spiritual experience. This article starts with material, structure, building and techniques to analyze. Based on material, we focus on the principle of election and find its own feasibility of several kinds of typical materials from practice. Based on structure, we analyze with simulative structure and geometrical structure. Based on building and techniques, we find out the best method from lots of examples and experiences. It is widely used for low-tech salvaged material in various environmental facilities, and showed its significant advantages. In the design activities, the recycle of salvaged material can be used in terms of the reform of the shape and the change of the function. To make it reborn with the artistic expression to affect the old taste is the main form of shape reform. To explore its new value and satisfy the higher demand is the main form of function change. Besides, creating the surface and building the structure can be used separately or together to apply into the low-tech environmental facilities with salvaged material. All the experiences shows that the recycle of salvaged material in the low-tech environmental facilities has significant value ranging from ecology, society, economy, esthetics and science. Its immeasurable potential will be improved in the future exploration and lift the design experience to a new level.
