The paper takes the EPC system of strip steel product line as research subject. The EPC electro-hydraulic servo system in a steel rolling line have disadvantages of big GCV and high failure rate, This paper presents a pump speed controlling scheme that adopt AC synchronous servo motor to drive quantitative hydraulic pump. The scheme use high-performance servomotor to replace servo valves as control device in EPC servo system, By changing the servo motor's positive and negative rotational speed and time, to control the movement direction,speed and position of the rectification hydraulic cylinder. So it can not only reduce system heat and improve energy efficiency, but also it can reduce components number, reduce piping impact on the system, and strengthen abilities of resisting pollution and improving reliability. There are two major works when building variable speed pump-control EPC system. They are designing servo motor speed control system and improving pump control hydraulic loop.In this paper, research work carried out as follows:Firstly through consult a large number of domestic and foreign literature, summed up the EPC systems and pump controlled cylinder technology, pump controlled cylinder technology is applied in steel strip rolling-getting control system(EPC) in order to overcome the disturbing in steel strip rolling-getting process.Secondly the overall structure of the EPC system is built and the component parameters are calculated based on the performance requirements.Thirdly throughout studying the system structure and performance characteristics that vector control communication permanent AC permanent magnet motor speed controlled system, and modeling and simulation through simulation software Simulink. Then it analyzes the characteristics of the pump control hydraulic loop. And complete the mathematical modeling, and analyzes on system performance. Systematically EPCFinally through Simulink and AMESim co-simulation, verified by the variable speed pump control design of the rationality and feasibility of EPC system. Co-simulation results show that the design of variable speed pump-control systems in this paper is rapid response, no overshoot, bandwidth in above 2.5 Hz. It can meet the rectify needs on the strip coiling at low speed. And the simulation model as a research and design tool used in variable speed pump control technology Provide a reference for applications of variable speed pump control servo system in other areas of the reference.
